Forgive Yourself
Finding acceptance for the things that we perceive as wrong can be a mammoth task to most of us, but dwelling in guilt can be like going through life with a heavy rock tied to your feet.
Feeling guilty and being hard on oneself is the easy way out and a short-term solution. Try to observe your life through an attitude of compassion and analyse your actions with hindsight and the result will be that perhaps your actions were guided by outside pressures that were beyond your control and you therefore made choices in the heat of the moment. Dwelling in negative feelings will only make you feel worse. Forgiving yourself will transform and heal any resentment, and negative emotions about the past.
It is important to learn from past actions as experience and a lesson learned are valuable tools to use in future situations.
