You will reap later what you sow now, so live in truth along your journey at all times, or the harvest may be a nasty surprise.

We are Spiritual Beings living a Physical Experience

We are Spiritual Beings living a Physical Life

We chose to incarnate now because it was our choice to experience a physical life on Earth, so it is in our best interests to enjoy the ride.

We are in our physical bodies with all the limitations and challenges a physical experience brings, because our souls have lessons to learn that only a physical life can provide. Spiritual Beings are in a place which has no limitations of time and space but here on Earth, we are subject to the world of duality, where we are faced with opposing emotions to help us appreciate the lighter side; we truly appreciate the value of light when we have experienced darkness. Going through this experience, gives us the opportunity to truly be spiritual Beings having a physical experience.

In the spiritual realm there is no pain because the sense of separateness is not present but on the physical plane, our sense of separation from All That Is allows us to feel our emotions and to learn about compassion, love and forgiveness. We thus learn to understand ourselves through our relationships with others around us as well as the world, we learn that every season has its blessings and challenges just like people.
Through experiencing diversity we learn to find our place in the universe and our connectedness to the grand scheme of things.

Personal Altar

A personal altar can be a reminder to yourself that you need to take some time for serenity on a daily basis.

It does not have to be a complicated task to complete nor does it have to have a religious or dogmatic belief behind it that does not relate to you. It can be an expression of your current focus as it acts as a silent reminder for you to access your centre and re-charge daily.

An altar is essentially a raised structure that holds meaningful objects for you to reflect on, or a place for contemplation and if you wish, for ritual.
With a little creativity and intuition you can easily build your altar. Whether indoors or outdoors, your altar will have the energy you place in its creation and will serve you well as a battery for you to draw energy from regularly.

Spend regular time at your "happy place" and forget about the daily challenges as you immerse yourself in the vibe of your altar space, it is your special place and try to have uninterrupted sessions just as you do for regular meditations.
It is your sacred time.

Animal Messengers

Animals always have a message for us, so start noticing when they appear in your life.
Animals have their own abilities and gifts that enable them to interact successfully with the natural world, and this ability can be useful to show us different ways to deal with our challenges.

As we examine a challenge, we may look outside and our eyes will notice a bird in the sky; that is a sign or message that we need to look at our challenge from a higher perspective or try to place ourselves in the observer position instead of taking an active participant stance. If the solution is not immediately visible, we need to be aware that the universe has its own sense of timing for solutions and the more we push for a solution, the harder the challenge will become. We should then release the outcome into the hands of the universe and trust that the animal spirit will bring the required inspiration our way. A bird taking small steps in front of us may bring the message that we should take baby steps towards our goal instead of giant, blind leaps which may lead to a disastrous fall. A representation of an animal or a dream will be just as effective as seeing the animal in the flesh.

By being themselves, the universe uses them to remind us of its wisdom, and that all answers are available to us when we reconnect with our inner core and Source, to take access to all that is. Namaste!

Positive Focus

When we meditate, be it passive or active, we reach a deeper level of awareness, one that enables us to shed stress, anxiety and other negative thought processes. We then direct our focus to the place we are occupying in the universe, in the present moment. We can thus find our way back to our centre and ground ourselves.
You will feel whole and balanced after a good meditation.

Forgive Yourself

Finding acceptance for the things that we perceive as wrong can be a mammoth task to most of us, but dwelling in guilt can be like going through life with a heavy rock tied to your feet.

Feeling guilty and being hard on oneself is the easy way out and a short-term
solution. Try to observe your life through an attitude of compassion and analyse your actions with hindsight and the result will be that perhaps your actions were guided by outside pressures that were beyond your control and you therefore made choices in the heat of the moment. Dwelling in negative feelings will only make you feel worse. Forgiving yourself will transform and heal any resentment, and negative emotions about the past.
It is important to learn from past actions as experience and a lesson learned are valuable tools to use in future situations.

Navel Meditation

Navel Meditation
Navel meditation may be done by a beginner as you focus your breath on your belly area and your breathing.
During our journey seeking evolution, the sure way to have a steady progress is to begin in a basic and uncomplicated manner.

This meditation was created by the Taoist tradition and the oldest form of meditation recognised in India and China. Although it is used by experienced people, it is also a good introductory meditation for beginners. It uses the natural rhythms of the breath and the regular movement of the abdomen as a means to focus awareness and rid oneself of extraneous thoughts. As your mind starts to focus on the breath, the tumult within reveals itself, allowing the person to train the mind to accept peace as its natural state of mind.

To begin, sit comfortably; either cross-legged on a cushion on the floor or on a chair with your legs facing forward. Maintaining an upright, balanced posture, will ensure that you are physically centred and prevent fatigue. Close your eyes and gradually relax your body, starting at the toes and going upwards to end at the crown of the head. Take a moment to note any physical sensations you are feeling, such as the hardness of the floor under you, or the weight of a piece of jewellery you're wearing, such as a watch. When you are relaxed, breathe through the nose at your natural pace. With each inhalation, draw air deep into the abdomen, allowing the area surrounding the navel to rise and fall. Gradually focus your attention on the sensations caused by the inhalation and exhalation of breath. Feel the air flowing in and out of the nostrils as well as the expansion and contraction of the abdomen. If you find it difficult to concentrate on both sensations, concentrate only on the movement of the navel area.

You may notice that your mind strays. When this occurs, do not attach any significance to your thoughts. Simply bring the attention back to breath, as it flows in and out of the body, and the movement of the navel. The amount of mental chatter will eventually slow down to a trickle, and you will learn to control your thoughts until you are no longer at the mercy of your reactions. the more you practice this meditation, the more you will be able to get back to this relaxed state easily throughout the day.

Liberate Yourself

Your  personal space is a reflection of your inner state of Being.
Physical clutter is said to be connected to mental clutter, it can be beneficial to get rid of unwanted objects thereby releasing emotional and stressful baggage. It also turns the home into a blissful sanctuary that nurtures the soul each time we return to it for that much needed solace.

Cleansing the home space in this way, makes you feel renewed and determined to arrange personal belongings in a spiritually enriching way.
The home, like your mind, becomes a repository for energy that invigorates you.
Letting go of possessions that don't contribute to your emotional well-being will make you feel nurtured in your personal space.
