Learning Acceptance

In order to practice acceptance, one needs to cease the interior conflict with reality.
It is pointless to fight with reality when situations are underway.

That which is in process of Being, will continue to Be, even against your will.

Acceptance is different to conforming or lack of action on one's part. If it is in your power to improve a situation, do it, but it is preferable to do it from a place of peace.

Your actions will be more appropriate and there will not be any suffering on your part.
If it is out of your control to improve the situation, then accept it for what it is. No internal discomfort on your part will diffuse the reality or bring any benefit to you whatsoever.

Meditation and your dreams

Meditation and your dreams

The powers of attention learned in meditation, make the dream experiences more vivid and memorable.
Meditation opens you up to the deeper levels of the unconscious, from which the dreams arise.

If you wish to explore your dreams, keep a journal by your bedside and write down your dreams as soon as you are awake. This action tells your unconscious that you wish to take your dreams and their messages seriously and recall them each morning.
The recurring themes provide the most revealing information. The meaning of the symbols such as the common ones like a chair, a key etc may be obvious but others may be more puzzling.

Identify a strong or recurrent symbol and try to discover its meaning by writing down the words you associate with it in a circle around the symbol. Then see which word connects most closely with it. Ask your unconscious to be your guide.
